What do i believe, actually?

I believe that it is a very good idea to examine closely what i believe in. The whole system of ideas and core convictions that make up my life-philosophy, my view and perspective on life.

I believe that our belief systems are the filters thru which we perceive reality.

And ultimately, what i believe in today will shape my individual reality in the future. And the ideas that we believe in as a society, will shape our collective future reality.

I also believe that my belief systems should not be rigid and static but rather be dynamic and fluid like water, always flowing and developing while being measured and tested on everyday reality and the touchstone of time.

A honest examination of those ideas can only help to clarify what i really really stand for and what i want to continue to believe in.

Based on my best ability to discern between what is really experiential truth for me or what is simply something i have read about and would like to believe.

I feel its a daunting task, even to express all of that in words, somehow adequately.

So i will just start spontaneously to note down some of my core beliefs:

I believe in having as little impact as possible

on Mother Earth.

A tiny footprint in the sand.

And i believe in having a significant

impact on the consciousness

of the people i am in contact with.

Making a difference in their life.

I believe in being present and aware

of everything that is going on in the now.

Outside in the world as well as inside of me.

There is no action too small or insignificant

that i should not give it all my care and attention.

And no person too unimportant

that she/he shall not teach me something.

I believe in extending Love

to all and everything all the time.

In those believes and attitudes

i find peace in the upheavals

of our time, the seeming blindness

of man.

Well, besides quickly writing down those rather spontaneous declarations, i will now make a real effort to dig deeper and scan my inner world for the whole spectrum of my beliefs:

I believe in the implicit unity of all things seen and unseen.

I believe that all beings and things in all dimensions and universes are expression of consciousness – the substance of all and everything – that we also call God.

I believe that God is All-That-Is and that God is also beyond that.

God is in all things created and equally beyond all creation.

I believe in God as immanent and transcendent.

I believe that there is absolutely nothing that is not God.

I believe we should not use the word God anymore because it has become so biased in many ways, kidnapped by various religions and made into a caricature of itself.

I would prefer to call God ‘The Divine Beyond Words’

I believe that the ‘The Divine Beyond Words’ is beyond the comprehension of even the finest human mind.

But it can be sensed directly in mystical experiences, refined meditative states and deep contemplation of the manifest reality.

I believe that it is not necessary to have a specific concept or philosophy about The Divine in order to have a direct experience of it.

I believe that the numerous Dimensions, Universes, Galaxies and so on are experimental creations of the Logis, who are dynamic extensions of infinite creative potential of The Divine.

I believe that the whole ‘Miracle of Creation’ is The Divine – who is in itself all possibilities – seeing itself mirrored by all that is created and will be created thru the free will inherent in the creative process.

I truly believe that i have only the faintest idea and sense of all of that. And actually don’t need to think too much about it    😀

But i do believe that all those universes, galaxies and star systems are inhabited by countless forms of conscious being, ETs or whatever we may call them.

I believe that the majority of those beings live in vibrational dimensions different from ours, so we may never be able to see them with our eyes.

I believe that we, the human beings live in a space-time quadrant that represents third and forth dimensional vibrations of consciousness and that our reality is based on principles and laws of duality, subject-object relationships and separation.

I believe that third dimensional vibration is a realm where consciousness looses its fluidity and ability to be conscious of itself as All-That-Is.

It is close to the point where consciousness crystalizes into rigid structures and solid forms.

I believe that all of us here are souls and we come from a realm where we are free to choose where we want to go, what we want to be and what task or challenge we want to set for ourselves.

I believe, that as souls we are naturally aware of the all-ness that we are a part of. But when we incarnate into the third dimensional vibration we quickly loose this awareness and – because of the influences from education and dualistic language – we identify more and more as individual personas separate from each other and from all there is.

I believe that because of the the low vibration of consciousness in our world we humans tend to make mistakes and repeat mistakes many times before we learn from the pain of experience.

I believe the Law of Karma (cause and effect) and repeated reincarnation cycles are the means to help us understand the Laws of Vibration, how to integrate dualistic viewpoints and elevate our individual consciousness and therefore elevate the collective consciousness of humanity.

I believe that the importance of us humans in this drama – to move the collective consciousness from duality/separation to one-ness/unity – is greater than we can imagine and that it has cosmic implications.
(my guess : )

I believe that we are not just here to have a nice-enough life, two kids and a pension ; )

I believe that beyond the multitudes of lessons that we can learn here and skills and values we can master, there is one rare quality that holds the magic formula for this dimension:

Unconditional Love and Truth

I strongly believe that in the realization of this quality and by living it in everyday life on this planet we will contribute more than anything else to the elevation of the collective consciousness of humanity and of consciousness itself.

I am aware that this is a pretty bold statement. But this is what my heart clearly tells me and my life experience confirms it.

There is actually no greater realization to be reached as a human being than this one.

May i always just live up to that believe of mine!

I would also like to reflect on the more down-to-earth beliefs and convictions that inform my everyday choices and actions in many practical ways.

– I strongly believe in simplicity, in a philosophy of
“All we need is less”.
I don’t mean scarcity or asceticism but rather to have only the things that i need at a given phase of my life. They shall be of the highest quality and well cared for.

– I believe to have a small footprint on the earth, to be ever conscious of the sustainability of what i do and the impact on earth’s resources.
Not to use up and deplete the world but to enrich it, bring more energy into it.
To always leave a place better/nicer/richer than i have found it.
To think seven generations ahead.
Small is beautiful.
To practice volunteer simplicity.

– I also believe in aesthetic, in the importance to search out or create beautiful environments.
Physical, emotional, vibrational environments.
Personally i like a minimalist aesthetic, a lot of white space, a lot of silence, a music of the spheres that leaves much open.

– I believe in the importance to be informed of the ecologic and environmental realities on our earth.
To be aware that humanity has already done unbelievable and irrevocable harm to this beautiful planet.
And i believe in the importance of making personal choices that reflect this understanding.
Even if this is not always comfortable and convenient.

– Without being overly pessimistic, i believe that with climate change we have caused a chain of events beyond our powers that will ultimately wake humanity up … but it will be too late.
In that sense I fear for future generations.

– I believe that small actions done by many, done in the right spirit can have tremendous effect.
“Never underestimate what a group of ordinary citizens can do when they bound together in shared spirit!” someone famous once said.

– I believe in the Morphogenetic Fields and the “Hundred-Monkey-Effect” that postulates that change can come fast once a critical mass of unified action is reached.

– I believe that all should be done to resolve ongoing conflict and subconsciously festering feelings of contempt, disagreement and division.

In all personal as well as collective, political and religious matters we should always make every effort possible to seek out the things that connect us, that we have in common and be respectful and tolerant of our differences.
We should always seek consensus and strengthen the bounds that hold things together.

– In this sense i deeply believe in the power of Love as the ultimate unifying principle.
Kindness, compassion, understanding, patience, empathy, tolerance, generosity of spirit … those qualities we should apply in situations of conflict.

Love we should always share in all ways.
Free hugs are a great idea ; D
Random un-conditional acts of kindness.

– I believe in the power of a smile, of looking into the eyes of strangers, of giving a helping hand.

– i believe in living a clear and simple lifestyle. Natural. Sleep when tired, eat when hungry.

Eat just little and slow. Feed the body with organically grown and quality things. A plant based diet. Drinking a lot of water.

– I believe in spending a lot of my days outdoors, in nature, under the glorious sun, near the ocean. Prana-rich environments.

– I believe in sleeping with my windows and doors wide open.

– I believe in living without fear and worries.

All of that may sound like a lot of beliefs, a lot of “should”, a lot of rules.

But i think when i really am convinced of something and believe in it, then my emotions, thoughts and actions are aligned, things come naturally, organically. My actions have a clear direction, consistency and logic to it.

This is why i believe it is fundamentally important to understand the principles of belief / values / character traits and to consciously find out and create a belief system that is clear and wide enough to direct my life in constructive ways.

“How can i become conscious of my belief system, is there a method for that?”

A friend asked this question that after reading my text.

Well … i am sure there are some such methods that smarter-than-me psychologists have come up with.

For me, these kind of questions and reflections came naturally to me since i was sixteen or so.

Asking essential questions, contemplating and reflection on my life experiences always helped me to come up with more understanding.

Surely it is quite possible to live life and thats just it! To live day by day and never sit down and think about it. Thats not something bad in itself.

Never worked this way for me ; )

There have always been people who were not content with just living. Folks who stopped, looked around and asked themselves:

What is this, Life? What are we doing here? Where did we come from? Is there a meaning behind the day-to-day survival? Is there something beyond death?

And so on.

Those were the philosophers and metaphysics and religiously inclined people of the world.

But they are also you and me, because we all have an inborn need to have answers to all those questions.

Maybe its not so easy and straightforward to find authentic answers to those questions.

Maybe often we will give answers that we have been reading in some smart book or heard from the priests in our church, mosque or temple.

But in any case … it is helpful for living a good life to become conscious and clear about those core believes and values that we hold – more or less unconscious.

I guess it helps to read metaphysical and philosophical books and scriptures and discuss such topics with good friends.

Write down your thoughts and feelings that those questions bring up.

When we try to express an idea we often recognize that we don’t really know for sure.

Its the process, the journey of exploration that counts.

It also helps to ask and interview respected folks, people with a lot of life experience, Elders.

Here are a few questions, basic entry points for your inquiry :

– Is there some God, how do i imagine this ‘being’

– What is Consciousness

– How come the Universe is soooo big

– Are we alone in the universe

– What is Life

– Whats the meaning & purpose of Hu-man life

– Whats the ego

– Whats the Higher Self

– Is there a Soul

– What are my Values

– What do i think about all those Religions

– Is there Heaven & Hell

– Angels & Demons

– Extraterrestrial beings

– How do i feel about my Nationality

– Do i have a political ideology

– Can i make a difference in the world?

And so on…

Go ahead, happy exploration!
