This is not your everyday Fine Art Gallery!!!

“Art is a diverse range of human activities in creating visual, auditory or performing art-works, expressing the author’s imaginative, conceptual ideas, or technical skill, intended to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power”

This is what the dictionary says.

But then there is this other story:

And a woman stood up in the crowd and said: “Tell us about art”.

And the old man was silent for a moment to contemplate and then said:

“Art is how God makes the worlds, the galaxies and stars, the tress and the ants and the man.

With great care and skill and playfulness he creates them out of pure idea and thought. And he send them on their way to grow and evolve and transform, to always express the beauty of the Divine Idea inherent in them.

Art is an attitude and a grace.

Art is the way we shall live and do things. A cup of coffee, a meal, a house, a gathering, a song. A governing of people.

Art is poetry and music and paintings and architecture. It is also cooking and childrearing and carpentry and coding and dance.

Art is how we do things. Never just for the usefulness of the end product, but for the process of creation itself and for the love we can put into a thing.

The love is what makes the thing more then just a product.

The love we put in it makes it shine on and represent the divine idea that created it. And so touch the people who come in contact with it.

This is how your live can become art.

Because Life is Art.”

And the people were silent, stunned.

Because they had never seen it that way.

So different than the world of museums they knew, the art auctions and expensive galleries, the stuffy poetry books at school and the busy-ness of the artworld, the artifice of the art elite.

And so different from the dreary business of their life, the mechanics and repetitions of daily chores and responsibilities, the rushed actions and the stressfulness of their everyday doings, the staleness of their leisure time.

They were touched by this idea.

Life as Art.

And so they left, inspired to approach their own everyday life like that.
