I recommend to use the Google Chrome browser on a computer, if you really enjoy playing with this application. Some of the more advanced features are maybe not supported by older browsers.
Also headphones are a good idea (its about … music!)
(not optimized for mobile phones : )
For the last month or so i have put myself mostly to meditate, practice my piano and learn about the theory of music.
The rain was pouring down a lot here and not much going on in my outer life. But with my inner life so full and satisfying, i could not have enough hours every day to be awake. Quietly happy : )
What a paradox life can be!
I have shied away all my life from the so called music theory, preferred to play everything by ear. Improvise.
Go with the flow.
But i found, that without a solid basis in theory sooner or later i got stuck in my own musical patterns.
Now that i have taken the time & made some effort to understand how the – Western – music is build on laws and principles, i feel very happy.
Also thanks to my piano i got a real feeling for the whole thing
: )
And this idea popped up in my mind to make a little web application and pack in what i have learned about “The Basics of Music”. So simple that even kids could play with it and learn. And also develop some “musical games” for them to play with.
And make it very interactive and include a conversational interface, you know, speech recognition and speech synthesis to use the voice instead of the mouse for playing with the app.
As always, ideas come quick and easy, but the implementation is hard & takes long endless hours of programming. And learning.
But i did it and i learned a lot. Javascript is fun for me. Creating something from nothing but an idea and some coding skills. And the endless resources of the internet community of coders, willing to share their know-how.
So exciting!!!
So here it is, still a work in progress but enough for now to make it presentable.
And for me to put my attention somewhere else now, for a while at least.
Summer is coming to Costa Rica again.
In December ; )
Enjoy
I love these music games, the memory and the puzzle – a great way of “playing” with music 🙂
Hahaha
Dunkel erinnere ich mich an den Spruch: “Das Kind im Manne”.
In deinem Fall stimmt das und doch nicht so ganz ; )
The other piece of folk wisdom is, that we get younger and younger like children as we get old and older.
Hope u r fine!
