awe: a feeling of great respect, sometimes mixed with surprise or feeling overwhelmed
Synonyms for awe: admiration, amazement, astonishment, wonder, wonderment
~ Honestly, if we would think about it, we would be in awe about
the age and the size of the universe around us
that it is here already for so long
13.799 billion years
estimated
That there are 200 billion galaxies
and about 1000000000000000000000000 stars
… that looks like a lot to me ; )
~ And we could be in awe
that in our immediate neighborhood, in our Milky Way Galaxy
there are about 100 thousand million stars
and that our sun is one of them
~ And since we are at it, we could also be in awe about the sheer number of species
who inhabitant our planet Earth
from tiny microorganisms
up to the great apes and us included
us humans, who can count all those forms of life
it is said that there are more species of Earth
than there are stars in our Milky Way galaxy
Without even counting the abundance of microorganisms
and the estimated 90 percent of species that have not yet been discovered and named
the newest numbers of science speak of 6.5 million species on land
and about 2.2 million in oceans
definitely – even beyond all such astonishing numbers – we could be in awe
about such abundance of life here at our home planet
the whole web of nature that makes this place a paradise
~ And we could definitely be in awe about our human body
awed about the fact that our body is composed of some 30 trillion cells
that dance and work together as a complex system of 100 or so organs
Isn’t that just amazing that all that works together
seamlessly and functions so that we can walk
and speak
and think
and do some more crazy things on our Paradise Earth
nestled somewhere in our seemingly endless universe of stars and galaxies
and nebulas and supernovas and superclusters and quasars and white dwarfs and black holes

Uff! That is already a lot to be in awe about, right?!
And that is just the visible part of ALL THERE IS
I have not even mentioned yet
the Higher Dimensions unseen to the eye, the Soul, the Spirit, the Divine Realms …
Honestly, actually our jaws could drop at this very moment
if we would just really stop for a while in our tracks
stop with being occupied with petty worries
and our needs and wants
and our …
self-centeredness
look up
look around
look inside
feel the greatness
the magnificence of it all
THE WONDER

Yes, science is mazing!
It can give us all those numbers to consider
all the facts that human curiosity has figured out
Science lets us know about the parts
it rarely comprehends the whole
There, another language is needed
another way to look
The language of music, of poets, of mystics
There is a way to speak directly to the Soul
the “Part” of us that is “The Whole”
The Presence
that knows
is reminded
of what it already knows
