The Earth is our mother,
we must take care of her.
The Earth is our tree,
the tree on which we grow.
The Earth is our home,
the only home we’ve got.
The Earth is our place,
but she is not our’s.

I am literally exhausted of writing about those dire realities, of pointing towards the facts in more or less objective ways, in a big-picture perspective.
But what else can one do than raising the awareness and drumming the drum and living in a way that may be a antidote to the lemming-like walk towards the cliff that we see continuing in the western civilized world.
Or our human world in general.
I don’t want to be pessimistic but i must admit that i am worried.
For the generations to come, i would not have a real answer for them.
I don’t want to be unfair to the many good people of good will who have done their best to live decent lives.
But nevertheless i must admit that i am angry at us, the so called modern man.
That we have stormed forward so blindly, so blinded by the gods of more and bigger and better.
And never looked at the bigger picture of what we are actually doing.
And never ever considered our actions in the light of the next seven generations.
When i look back over the recent 200 years or so – since the Industrial Revolution – i must say that am ashamed.
Yes, ashamed to be part of this big and endless plundering and exploiting of the beautiful Planet Earth that has been given to us.
To be faithful custodians and guardians.
Well … maybe i should really stop writing such depressing articles!
