i sleep in strange ways
these days
bursts of deep deep sleep
only and hour or two
and then i wake up
still half in a dream
i dream in strange ways
these days
Dante’s Inferno
and The Decameron
Hieronymus Bosch and such
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
I dream of a great body of men
many bodies
as one
Stumbling forward
pushing and shoving
blindly and crude
This way and that they stumble
and some fall
There is no stopping
this great body of men
in headless motion
oh man!
come here
and sit with me for a while
come here and lets breath and hold our hands
lets talk and weep quietly
and let the tears wash
the blindness from our eyes
oh man!
hu-man!
lets not rush when we don’t know where to
oh man!
we have done that for too long
oh man!
hu-man!
it is time to wake up now
and remember who we are
and where
we are meant to be
