… When they came to the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on His right and the other on His left.
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
And they divided up His garments by casting lots.
The people stood watching, and the rulers sneered at Him, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.” …
New Testament, Luke 23:34
2021, January 1.
Now, it is the 11. hour.
Actually, it’s only 100 seconds to Midnight some say.
I know that in the whole hustle & bustle of the Corona Virus disrupting life as we know it, it is easy to loose sight of any bigger picture.
We loose sight and awareness of a threat way beyond our own health and economic survival, that is right around the corner.
As human beings we tend to be like ants, having not much of an overview or idea where we are actually going so busily.
Most of us are no eagles, that is obvious ; )
But a few of us are, eagle-eyed. And with enough perspective and life lived to tell us something about their view from above.
This one is one such eagle (in my humble opinion at least)
Watch it – please – but hold on to your seat!!!
This reality is no news to me, but again … it really hit me hard.
Its on Netflix (if you pay – best quality)
and also here (for free – quality … not so)
Have we forgotten
that wilderness is not a place,
but a pattern of the soul
where every tree, every bird and beast
is a soul maker?
Have we forgotten
that wilderness is not a place
but a moving feast of the starts,
footprints, scales and beginnings?
Have we forgotten
that every creature is within us
carried by tides
of earthly blood
and that it was us who named them?
Have we forgotten
that wilderness is not a place
but a season
and that we are in its
final hour?

Nature and Human can co-exist
Resurrection is possible
Amen : )
Bless you, my friend
Wise words, important perspective
May we cherish wilderness
May we respect wildness
We’d better
Thanks for sharing this! We are planning to watch this documentary and I have read the life story of David Attenborough behind it. And I’ve seen his previous documentaries for BBC. It would be interesting to know more about Costa Rican government, economy and industry and its path to the carbon neutrality for an inspiration. The problem for most countries is the economic burden attached to environmental protection. It would be interesting to know, how has Costa Rica (obviously not a very rich country) has resolved the economic issues.
