I know, i know! Apple is not perfect. But ….
What i want to say is: Apple’s not totally perfect (even so it seems to me they try pretty hard)
Rather a bit … megalomanic these days, right? Or a lot!
But still …
Even in spite of all of that I am a fan!!!
Have been since i bought myself my first iPod (2001)
Not to be confused with the iPad 🙄
It had a real mechanical wheel!!! and i loved it to its death.
Even before that (late 1980s) when Steven Jobs was forced out of Apple and created the way-cool NeXT Computer company, i sensed that this man was something else. The real deal.
Unfortunately, never managed to get one such NeXT for myself 😕
NOW my iMacBook Pro is my most cherished possession since 2000 or so. Actually it has been called PowerBook G4 back then. A successions of iMacBook Pros have been my trusted companions ever since.
They are very good computers in my book, but they don’t live forever. Especially on beaches, with the sand, humidity and all …
I got a bit pissed off by Apple when they started to get all commercial and big & bigger years ago …
With iPhones all over and the beginning of the shiny reflecting screens – good for video consumption.
And forgetting the needs of all the creative professional folks who made up the bulk of Mac users in the first place.
Well …
And now, with Steve gone, with Jonny Ive gone (the visionaries), all thats left is more of the same.
More and more iPhone variations, more and more cash, pushing the minimalism to the point where there are no more USB slots there at all. Or any other way to connect the thing with anything at all 😯
Yes, this “walled garden” approach where every Apple product connects perfectly to other Apples but not at all to other oranges ; )
And Apple has a tight monopoly and control over all aspects of its kingdom.
Reminds me a bit of China 😐
… Oh, and “one more thing” 😉
… they are planning to roll out a new product in 2021. Or so i hear.

Probably i should consider going over to The Dark Side (Windows) and buy myself a mouse-grey PC box.
But maybe i shall wait a bit and buy myself a dWave Quantum Computer, they are really hot now.
Well, i am not decided yet. The necessary cooling (to – 273 degrees Celsius) makes them a bit bulky still ; )
