naqö̀yqatsi – a word from the language of the Hopi Indians of Arizona – meaning: Life as War.
Lately i have been reading quite a lot about Terrorism, militant Islam, the roots and history of Islamic culture and the religion of Islam.
Watched a lot of movies and documentaries about the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, the Mujaheddin Guerrilla resistance, Chechenia and the Bosnian war, American invasion into Afghanistan and the Kuwait & Iraqi wars, Yemen, Al Qaida & the iSIS theorist networks and terror exports to Somalia, US and the West.
All that, intertwined with American interests and interventions and the hopeless Israel/Palestine conflict.
I also opened my eyes a bit to the Iran revolution & the roots of the endless Shia and Sunni Islam antagonism. All in all a huge, twisted, mangled, explosive mess with no solutions.
A lot of grim men with fists raised and Kalashnikovs ready to kill and many more women & children suffering the consequences.
Not that i was looking for solutions or even intellectual understanding of this world out of balance, this life as war.
Rather to open my mind and comprehend this nightmare dream of human destructive activity.
Now i feel its time to step back a bit and relax, accept this dream as one of many dreams that humanity is dreaming. Empires raise up and disintegrate, nations expand and collide, wars come in waves like tides of the ocean.
I want to even step back further and relax more.
See all those, our humanity’s dreams playing out onto nature, the Earth that holds all of us here. And driven by the ever expansive human spirit that drives us onward.
And in the end i want to step back even further and totally relax, let it all go.
Consider what holds all of it. The ground of it all, of being and becoming:
Consciousness, pure awareness.
There i want to be, there i feel home.
Here is peace.
Everything just is.
