The big questions
The freer the mind becomes
of personal needs and emotional preoccupations
less distracted by random thinking
less limited by preconceived ideas
the more knowledgeable and differentiated our intelligences are
the more there is peace and balance between the left and the right hemispheres (of the brain)
the more stillness there is in the mind
the more interesting things become
bigger and bolder the quest becomes:
– What is life
– Where does life come from, where is its origin
– What started the manifest universe
– Are there other, parallel universes
– What is the purpose of Existence
– Is there a God
– Is God the Reality or is Reality a dream in God
– Is Consciousness God or is Consciousness a creation of God
– Is Consciousness the ultimate substance of All-That-Is
– What is the purpose and meaning of humans
– Does God want something from me
– Is there something like a absolutely free will
– Do i have a specific purpose to fulfill in this life
– What is the ultimate goal of evolution
Quest: (according to Cambridge Dictionary)
– a long search for something that is difficult to find
– an attempt to achieve something difficult
Question: (according to Cambridge Dictionary)
– a sentence or phrase used to find out information
– in an exam, a problem that tests a person’s knowledge or ability
– any matter that needs to be dealt with or considered
– a doubt or confusion
The way i am “questing”, the way i raise such big questions is a bit different.
Rather than needing to reach the goal of my quest,
rather than wanting to find a reasonable answer to my question,
I see questions like doorways of attention and slightly focussed awareness into a certain area of existence,
windows that i open so that the unknown can come in
I experience a quest as the willingness, the courage
to let this unknown transform me,
expand my individual consciousness outward.
Therefore, no question can be too big
the heavy stuff is actually
light as a feather
to me
(Light as a feather – Flora Purim)
