to keep Peace On Earth
Its purpose, as declared in the Chapter I of the United Nations Charter, Article 1:
To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;
But when it comes to real brutality
audacities committed
by one of its
“member nations”
it shows a lethal – built in – flaw
The Veto Powers of the 5 Permanent Members of the Council
Russia, China, USA, UK, France
Even a child can see
what a joke that is:
Those 5 guys can do what they want and veto any UN resolution that attempts to stop them.
Which we see now in full display concerning Russia’s gruesome war on Ukraine.

As for the UN Security Council …
A big shakeup and systemic changes
and a total reformation of its bloated bureaucracy might do it
But man!!!!
Who has the power to do that?
Who has The WILL for Global Peace amongst the United Nations??????

In no way I want to diminish the good work that the UN has done since its inauguration.
It is – after all – an idea who’s time has come:
Unity without uniformity and diversity without fragmentation.
